About prompt-library

A searchable library of prompt templates for developers and teams using Claude Code. It groups executable agents into general, task-based, and specialized domains, with commands to list, find, inspect, and use templates.

Key features

  1. 0118 prompt templates across three categories
  2. 02List, search, and inspect templates
  3. 03Use or customize existing templates
  4. 04Claude Code YAML frontmatter format
  5. 05Templates for agents and task workflows

Use cases

  1. 01Find a template for code review or analysis
  2. 02Use a template for translation or extraction
  3. 03Choose a specialized legal or medical template
  4. 04Adapt an existing agent template

Install

Copy the command and run it in a terminal.

After installing, type/prompt-libraryin Claude Code to confirm it loaded.

Details

From the project README
Prompt Library is a collection of 18+ professional, tested prompt templates organized in three categories: general-purpose agents (code reviewer, support assistant, data analyst, technical writer, security auditor, API designer), task agents (summarizer, translator, extractor, classifier, generator, validator), and specialized-domain agents (legal, medical, financial, marketing, HR, educational). Each follows the standard Claude Code frontmatter (name, description, model, color, tools, skills).

It covers listing, searching, viewing, and using/customizing an existing template -- not designing a new agent architecture from scratch (see agent-design for that) or writing a prompt's internal structure (see prompt-creation).
