About remotion-best-practices
A domain-specific guidance skill for developers working with Remotion code. Its rule files cover animation, media, compositions, captions, measurement, timing, transitions, and other implementation topics, with examples and runtime cautions.
Key features
- 01Focused Remotion rule files
- 02Animation and transition patterns
- 03Images, video, audio, and fonts
- 04Composition and timing guidance
- 05Captions, charts, and text layouts
- 06Runtime and data boundary cautions
Use cases
- 01Build animated Remotion scenes
- 02Add media and captions to compositions
- 03Fit text and measure rendered elements
- 04Check runtime and media handling

Limitations
- Use this skill only when the task clearly matches the scope described above.
- Do not treat the output as a substitute for environment-specific validation, testing, or expert review.
- Stop and ask for clarification if required inputs, permissions, safety boundaries, or success criteria are missing.
Runtime and data boundaries
Use installed project tooling and lockfile versions; commands using package runners may download code when the CLI is absent. Install only dependencies needed by the agreed task and keep all Remotion packages on the same version. Remote media, font and transcription requests disclose data to their providers; use authorized assets and confirm paid/cloud transcription scope. Examples are partial component snippets unless exported; hooks belong inside React components, not module scope. using examples require TypeScript explicit resource management support. Validate rendered frames and audio in the target runtime.
