About w-errors
w-errors is a repository skill for strengthening failure handling in changed code paths. It directs agents to follow existing error and logging conventions, avoid unsafe retries, and verify the new path.
Key features
- 01Identifies validation and I/O failure points
- 02Uses repository error and logger patterns
- 03Restricts retries to replay-safe writes
- 04Adds a test or named manual scenario
- 05Runs the smallest relevant check
Use cases
- 01Hardening error handling in a changed feature
- 02Reviewing retry behavior for write operations
- 03Verifying a new failure-handling path

Details
From the project READMEHarden the current code's failure paths. Follow the error-handling page named from AGENTS.md and existing error/logger packages. Do not hide the owning failure with retries.
- Identify failure points on the changed path: validation, I/O, authz, empty/invalid input.
- Use the repo error type and logger. Return or render existing user-facing error patterns.
- Retry only when the write is replay-safe. Otherwise keep an explicit no-retry path with a bounded deadline if a retry is already required.
- Cover the new path with a test or a named manual scenario. Run the smallest existing check.
