About w-grill
A skill for stress-testing plans and decisions through a structured design-tree interview. It gathers all currently answerable questions in each round, waits for responses, and confirms shared understanding before any implementation.
Key features
- 01Map decisions into a design tree
- 02Ask the full question frontier
- 03Recompute questions after each round
- 04Wait for confirmation before action
Use cases
- 01Reviewing an unsettled project plan
- 02Surfacing dependencies between decisions
- 03Clarifying design choices before implementation

Details
From the project READMEStress-test a plan or decision. Blocking gaps only use clarify. Do not implement until the user confirms shared understanding. Do not write a glossary or a second ADR tree.
- Inspect matching MDX, ADRs, README, and
DESIGN.mdfor facts already recorded. Follow council steps 1–3 for filesystem or code facts. Do not ask the user for anything you can look up. - Map the work as a design tree: every decision branches into the decisions that hang off it. The frontier is every decision whose prerequisites are already settled.
- Ask the whole frontier in one round. Follow round format. Then wait.
- Each round of answers reshapes the tree. Recompute the frontier. A running exploration is an unsettled prerequisite: ask the rest of the frontier now; questions downstream of it wait.
- Stop when the frontier is empty. Confirm shared understanding. Do not act on it until the user says to.
