阅读项目根目录中的 .agents/sales-context.md。

  • G2 / Capterra / TrustRadius

## DataSync Pro — Battle Card

> Last updated: 2026-02-15. Review by May 2026.

### Overview

- **What they sell:** Data integration platform for mid-market and enterprise
- **Positioning:** "The fastest way to connect your data stack"
- **Pricing:** Per-connector pricing, $500-$2,000/connector/month. Enterprise custom.
- **Ideal customer:** Mid-market companies with 10-50 data sources, less technical teams
- **Funding/Stage:** Series C, $120M raised, ~$40M ARR (estimated from job postings)

### Where They're Strong

- Beautiful UI — non-technical users can build integrations without engineering
- 250+ pre-built connectors, broad coverage of common SaaS tools
- Fast time-to-first-value — prospects see data flowing in the demo
- Strong marketing and brand awareness — they show up in every G2 comparison
- Good onboarding experience for first 30 days

### Where They're Weak

- Per-connector pricing gets expensive fast at scale (a 40-connector deployment is $30K+/mo)
- No real-time streaming — everything is batch with minimum 15-minute intervals
- Custom connector development takes 6-8 weeks through their PS team
- G2 reviews consistently mention support degradation after onboarding
- No data transformation layer — you still need dbt or similar downstream
- Their "enterprise" tier is the same product with SSO bolted on — no real multi-tenant governance

### Head-to-Head Comparison

| Dimension | Us | DataSync Pro | Why It Matters |
|-----------|----|----|----------------|
| Pricing model | Flat platform fee + usage | Per-connector | At 20+ connectors, we're 40-60% cheaper |
| Real-time | Sub-second streaming | 15-min batch minimum | Critical for operational use cases (alerts, triggers) |
| Custom connectors | Self-serve SDK, 2-day build | 6-8 week PS engagement at $15K | Buyers with niche sources get stuck waiting |
| Data transformation | Built-in transformation layer | None — requires separate tool | Total cost of ownership and stack complexity |
| Post-sale support | Named CSM through Year 1 | Support quality drops after onboarding | G2 reviews confirm this — use as social proof |

### Trap-Setting Questions

Ask these during discovery — before DataSync Pro comes up:

1. "How many data sources do you anticipate connecting in the next 12-18 months?"
   - **Why it works:** If the answer is 20+, their per-connector pricing explodes. We win on economics at scale.
2. "Do any of your use cases require real-time data — like triggering alerts or updating dashboards live?"
   - **Why it works:** They can't do real-time. If the prospect says yes, DataSync Pro is disqualified before they demo.
3. "Do you have any proprietary or niche data sources that would need custom connectors?"
   - **Why it works:** Their custom connector process is slow and expensive. Ours is self-serve. This becomes a dealbreaker for companies with unique data sources.
4. "What does your team's technical capacity look like — do you have data engineers, or is this more of a business analyst team?"
   - **Why it works:** If they have data engineers, our SDK and transformation layer are advantages. If they don't, we still win on transformation (they'd need to buy dbt separately with DataSync Pro).

### Landmine Responses

| Their Question | What They're Probing | Your Response |
|---------------|---------------------|---------------|
| "DataSync Pro has 250 connectors. How many do you have?" | Breadth of coverage | "We have 180 pre-built, and honestly they cover 95% of what we see in the market. The difference is what happens when you need a connector we don't have — you build it yourself in 2 days with our SDK instead of waiting 8 weeks and paying $15K." |
| "Their UI looks easier to use." | Complexity concern | "Fair point — their UI is clean. What I'd ask is: easier for the first integration, or easier at scale? Our customers tell us that managing 30 connectors, transformations, and monitoring in one place is where the ease of use actually matters." |
| "They're cheaper for our initial deployment." | Price anchoring on small scope | "They probably are for 5 connectors. Run the math at 25 connectors — which is where most companies land by month 12. At that scale, you're looking at 2-3x our cost. Want me to build a side-by-side TCO model?" |

### Positioning Statement

**When a prospect mentions DataSync Pro, say:**

"DataSync Pro is solid — especially for teams getting started with a handful of connectors. Where we consistently win is when companies think about scale. Our flat pricing model, real-time streaming, and built-in transformations mean you're not paying 3x more and bolting on extra tools 12 months from now. [Customer X] actually switched from DataSync Pro for exactly that reason — want me to connect you?"

### Win/Loss Patterns

- **We tend to win when:** 20+ data sources, real-time requirements, data engineering team present, cost-conscious CFO in the deal
- **We tend to lose when:** Small initial scope (under 10 connectors), non-technical buyer with no data engineers, fast decision timeline where their quick demo wins
- **Tiebreaker:** Offer a free TCO analysis showing 18-month cost comparison. This kills them every time at scale.

我可以分享的是:[relevant proof of stability — funding, revenue growth, customer count, roadmap investment]。

还是说,[the outcome it enables] 才是真正的需求?”

## Status Quo / Do Nothing — Battle Card

> The competitor that kills more deals than all others combined.

### Why Prospects Stay Put

[3-5 reasons — budget freeze, change fatigue, "good enough" syndrome, political risk of sponsoring change, competing priorities.]

### Cost of Inaction

| Area | What Inaction Costs | How to Quantify |
|------|-------------------|-----------------|
| [Revenue/efficiency/risk] | [Specific cost] | [How to calculate or estimate] |
| [Revenue/efficiency/risk] | [Specific cost] | [How to calculate or estimate] |

### Questions That Make Status Quo Uncomfortable

1. "[Question that quantifies the cost of doing nothing]"
2. "[Question that highlights the risk of waiting]"
3. "[Question that creates urgency around a trigger event]"
4. "[Question that makes the prospect articulate the pain out loud]"

### When to Walk Away

[Signs that this prospect genuinely isn't ready. Not every "do nothing" is winnable.]

## Competitive Landscape Summary

| [Competitor 1] | [How they position] | [How we differentiate] |
| [Competitor 2] | [How they position] | [How we differentiate] |
| Status Quo | "What we have works fine" | [Cost of inaction argument] |

### Competitive Win Rates (if known)

| Competitor | Win Rate | Most Common Deciding Factor |
|-----------|----------|-------------------|
| [Competitor 1] | [X%] | [Key factor] |
